Many years ago, I had volunteered to serve in a ministry, which brought such peace, I really enjoyed our time meeting and serving God’s people. During one of our ministry trips to the southeast, as we all see challenges in our workplace, my spirit was disturbed with some important spiritual aspects agreed upon, yet not implemented. After much prayer, I decided it was best for me to pull away and return home. I had asked a very, dear friend, if she would take me back to the airport, she agreed. As we drew closer to the airport, my friend insisted we stop for dinner, before she dropped me off at the airport. As I wasn’t thrilled with her idea, I agreed, wondering if she was not only attempting to delay my plans but hungry as well. Little did we know at the time, it was a divine interruption. So, we stopped at a nearby steakhouse, for an early dinner. 

I remember that day,

just as clear as if it happened yesterday. My spirit was disturbed, and my heart was hurting as I stepped out of the car, glancing up to the heavens, I noticed two hawks, circling right above us, it was then I lifted a prayer for peace and resolution. As we entered the restaurant there were people going in several directions, busy being seated for dinner. Directly In front of us about 20 feet from the enclosure were 4 steps leading up into a dining room. As my friend began to climb the steps in front of me, everything in the entire enclosure went dead quiet, suddenly, I couldn’t hear a sound! I was standing quite bewildered attempting to figure out why I could see people’s mouths moving as they talked and laughed, but I could not hear one sound, just profound silence. In my befuddled state I glanced up at my friend who was now a bit bewildered herself, wondering why I was perplexed and standing still. She was quickly trying to discern my dilemma. As I glanced now to my left, I was frozen by what I saw, a small girl looking directly at me, about twelve years old, skipping happily towards me from the other side of the room. I could not take my eyes off her! She was wearing a pretty light blue dress, with long dark brown hair and as she skipped right up and stopped two feet in front of me, her eyes glancing upward were so captivating and a beautiful deep blue! She just kept staring into my eyes, I continued floundering while trying to figure out what was taking place, who she was, and why I couldn’t hear any voices. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity had passed, she looked up at me and uttered just four words!

“Are you a teacher?!” 

Still struggling for understanding, I responded

“Do I remind you of a teacher?”

She looked so intently into my eyes, softly smiling for several moments and then turned around and as she began to skip away, suddenly noise rushed into my entire being, I could hear again! As I quickly glanced up the stairs towards my friend, and then back towards the little girl, I could not believe there was absolutely no sign of her! She seemed to have disappeared in midair. As my friend stood staring at me in absolute wonder, she too finally found her voice.  

“Did you just see an angel?”

she asked with an eager voice! Then I discovered as I joined my friend, she actually never saw a little girl speaking to me, but she couldn’t get over the look on my face! What a powerful divine interruption the Lord sent me that day, and he can certainly get our attention when he wants to! I have no doubt this little divine messenger was sent skipping merrily into my life to turn it upside down to help me re-remember, my identity in Christ, and not to run from difficult areas the Lord sends me to serve. This God ordained visit turned out to be a supernatural day! And this beautiful little angel messenger helped bring my destiny to life. I knew I was a spiritual teacher and my work back at the hotel was unfinished. As we turned to leave the restaurant, I knew the holy spirit would give me everything I needed to carry out Father’s will and heal this situation. If only as believers we would surrender to God’s perfect plan for our lives, what amazing deeds of light we could accomplish for the kingdom and his glory. We must not listen to the lies of the enemy! As the children of great promise, we are more than enough through Jesus Christ our Lord. We are worthy to carry our Father’s message of love and light into such a dark world who desperately needs him.  With a grateful heart, after my obedience and our return to this situation, Jesus blessed us with an amazing victory and so much glory came forward for our Jesus!

without seeking Father to know more about your spiritual gifts and your destiny, the very purpose you are on the earth, for such a time as this!
