POWER THOUGHT: PROCRASTINATION
DON’T PUT OFF UNTIL TOMORROW, WHAT YOU KNOW NEEDS TO BE DONE TODAY!
After a storm swept through our city one night, I noticed that a few of the large, lush trees surrounding our patio held remnants of storm damage. The once billowy, green-branched trees now each had several branches sagging down with both green and brown leaves clinging to them. I was amazed at how the storm-damaged limbs still mysteriously clung to the main trunk of the towering trees.
HOW MANY OF US GO THROUGH OUR DAYS THIS EXACT SAME WAY?
The storms of life have left us battered and bruised from our choices outside of Christ’s will and our exhaustive lifestyles. We hang on precariously, half dead and half alive, to the vine of life, barely clinging to our source of strength and waiting for King Jesus to change our circumstances. However, we know if we search deep within, Godly outcomes are really about making daily choices of obedience. We must choose wisely. It is in obediently surrendering to Christ that we align with His will.
GOOD NEWS! THERE IS A BETTER WAY AND BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD!
Through Jesus Christ, we have the strength to overcome all trials! If we remain in HIM, fruit will be a natural byproduct. God is so faithful! Suddenly a scripture popped into my thoughts: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 NIV
We have a choice to cling to the Vine of life, allowing renewed strength and blessings of abundance to flow in and through our lives, to glorify Christ, or to remain stuck and stagnant. Friends, make the decision today, not to put off one more day, the abundance of life Jesus has waiting for you.
You will see your fruit produced in your life again for God’s glory! With God all things are possible! May our Lord strengthen you right in the midst of your fiery trials as you remain faithfully in HIM, trusting in His plan for your life! Bless you …
